HYPNOSIS FOR Dentistry
Is it possible…

…to actually ENJOY your visit to the dentist?
The human mind is an amazing marvel. It works
in mysterious ways, but it is also extremely powerful. The mind can create
incredible images and feelings, as well as interpret the world around us. The
power of thought CAN create total pain-free anesthesia and comfort without he need of drugs or gases.
The subconscious of the human mind is the
most powerful goal-achieving agency known to us. It almost acts like a
computer, with programs created by us as we continue to grow. There are
programs that can be created to eliminate any feeling of discomfort or
nervousness. Instead, you can program yourself to go to your favorite vacation spot and feel
completely pain-free and peaceful even while a dentist may be drilling in your
tooth!
Hypnosis is a way
to harness the power of the best goal-achieving agency, our subconscious mind.
With it, people can easily create a state of complete anesthesia on any part of
their body for as long as needed by the dentist. Not only will this help tremendously with your next visit, but it can
be used for future appointments or any time you wish to have temporary pain
relief.
Frequently–Asked Questions about the dental program:
Q: Is it safe?
A: It is TOTALLY safe! There’s
no gases and no drugs. Hypnosis has been successfully used by hypnotherapists and dentists for decades. All that is
required is imagination, belief and dedication!
Q: Is it new?
A: No. Medical doctors used hypnosis
throughout WWI and WWII when pain-relief drugs like morphine were in short
supply. Hypondotia (hypnotism in dentistry) was begun in
1948 and has become wide spread. The American Society of Psychosomatic
dentistry (an association of ethical dentists who are trained and certified to
apply hypnotic techniques) has also been established
Q: Why don’t
most doctors and dentists use this technique today?
A: Most dental
and medical schools do not teach hypnosis or teach old techniques which are too
long and cumbersome. Also, a lot of medical professionals just do not believe
that the power of the mind alone can create anesthesia and comfort.
Q: How
difficult is it?
A: If doing next
to nothing is difficult, this program is not for you. All that is required is a
few moments a day of relaxation and practice.
Q: How long
will it take for me to learn this?
A: Most people
will learn and apply the techniques after the first session. A second session
may be needed to re-enforce self-hypnosis and anesthesia/relaxation techniques
Q: What else can
hypnosis be used for in the dental area?
A: One condition
that can easily be corrected with hypnosis is bruxism,
which is a grinding of the teeth (this requires a referral from a liscenced medical professional). Hypnosis can eliminate
discomfort from any new appliance installation (bridges, dentures, braces, ect.). For special patients who
have blood problems (hemophilia, for example), it can be used to control
bleeding and allow proper clotting to occur!
The First Visit: Interview and full explanation what hypnosis REALLY
is and what is needed for success. You can then choose to commit to the
hypnosis session or leave at no cost. If you continue, the first session will
be given and self-hypnosis taught. Glove anesthesia will be programmed in as
well as a peaceful calm mindset for upcoming dental appointments. Bleeding and
saliva control suggestions will be given.
The Second Visit: If needed, this session will handle any stress issues
or inhibitions if the first session techniques are not completely effective.
